EPSRC : Graduate Studentships & Scholarships

EPSRC Doctoral Training Grant Studentships
Eligibility: Home/EU applicants

The Department holds funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to support approximately 6 research students per year.
There is no separate application form to apply for these awards. All Home/EU applicants for research degrees who apply for graduate study by 1 June 2010 will be considered for this funding.
Successful applicants who are UK residents will have their University and college fees paid and receive a maintenance stipend of at least £13,690 per year. Successful applicants who are EU residents will have their University and college fees paid but will not receive any maintenance stipend. An EU national who has studied for an undergraduate degree at a UK university during the three years leading up to the application would be classed as a UK resident.
The final decisions will be announced in late June/early July 2010. However, studentships may be awarded earlier to applicants who already hold a first-class degree or its equivalent.
